Beautiful video and message! Thank you! Speaking for myself...I feel so small, so inadequate to the challenges that are consuming all of our lands in the West. I have been raised in relatively good times , which as the old saying goes, "good times make soft men" and I feel it is true of me. I have allowed myself to become soft. But, times have been getting harder, and as that same old saying continues, "hard times make strong men" I feel like the seeds of strength are finding their way back in. I know the old saying was talking about generational swings, but while I am from the "soft men" generation who grew up in "good times", I think we can find our strength and our courage. I think about Frodo when he eventually volunteered to "carry the ring". He too grew up in good times and was wholly inadequate to the enormous task. But, he did it anyway. And the journey turned him into the person who could carry his part of the burden. But, he could not do it alone. He needed help from many friends and brave people who were willing to challenge the overwhelming power of the enemy. We are the same. We cannot defeat what faces us alone. But, our beloved stories in the West, like Lord of the Rings, tell us that if we say "yes" to our part of the burden, miraculous things will happen. People will show up who will help us on our way. And others will show up whom we can help on their way. I pray that any who read this find the courage to say "yes" to our part of the burden. As Gandalf said to Frodo when he wished that the ring did not have to come forward during his time: "So do all who live to see such times. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." And so it is with us... Is there any strength left in the lines of men? It looks like we are going to find out...
